We appreciate the opportunity to introduce our ministry. My wife, daughter, and I have been sent out from Maranatha Baptist Church in Covington, Indiana, where Bro. Bob Hamblen is the pastor, as Independent Baptist missionaries to troubled teen-age girls. Our past experience includes over 30 years of working with troubled youth. These girls are in need of help, healing, comfort and hope. Many people have given up on them and feel they are beyond help, but praise be to God, Christ has not given them up! He has performed many miracles in the lives of those we have been privileged to work with. To say the need is great is an understatement, as we turn away girls on a regular basis. This ministry is a spiritual healing ministry and therefore is Bible structured. We provide intense Bible training through preaching, teaching, praying, Bible memorization, and personal guidance with each child. Christian character is developed in their lives so they can cope in every day life with the evil that permeates our society. They are taught daily household chores, proper dress and conduct, good diet habits for proper nutrition, and personal responsibility. Our Academy is an A.C.E. Christian school, where even the learning of academics is done in a Christian environment.   Many of our young ladies come to us after having been in state operated facilities or psychiatric units at an enormous expense to the parents and yet failed to provide the help that was so desperately needed. Our success has been approximately 70% proving that these problems are spiritual, not mental and that God and His Word is the ONLY answer for sin.   These young ladies live with us in a warm, homey atmosphere. Family values, based upon Christian principles, are instilled within them. We love each one. We do not judge her on previous behavior, but we seek to lead her to faith in Christ. We do not force any child into a decision. Remember, they are individuals, and must make a personal decision to obey God and His Word. We can only teach them Bible truths, train them in proper disciplines of life, and pray with them. They must then allow God to do the work in their lives that He desires.
